About Eric

I'm Eric Milner; a North Vancouver photographer who has a passion for photography, which goes beyond obsession. It was in Grade 11, when I discovered what I wanted to do with my life.

Walt Disney Pictures started shooting The Boy That Could Fly just down the street from where I lived, and would watch the still photographer performing his duties. These days, I am an active stills photographer member in the same union, I.A.T.S.E. 669. As with any ambition it took sacrifices along the way.

I own two Jacobson Sound Blimps and use the flagship Nikon digital cameras, the D3, (a 12.1 MP camera) as my main body and a Nikon D700, (a 12.1 MP DSLR) as a second. With them, nine of Nikons best prime lenses covering focal lengths from 20mm to 300mm. In addition,
I use three top of-the-line zooms offered best by Nikon. I use the full Adobe Creative Suite 5, run through a state of the art 64-bit Windows 7 computer with 12 gig's of ram. And of course, a laptop for location work.

Why should you hire me? Because people that have an unyielding desire to do something, usually do it well. My two greatest passions, photography and the motion picture industry, make unit stills the job I crave. Working with so many talented and creative people is my nirvana. I love this work, and can't imagine anything better. I’m quick, keen, I observe and document. As a fly on the wall with a great eye, my camera is intuitive. And I get on with people. That's why you should hire me: it’s as simple as that.
